Monday 9 April
Tuesday
We went to the mountains. Snow is very hard to stop on and sledding is very hard to do. I had a snowball fight with Uncle Chas. Then we had hot chocolate.
Wednesday
We went to Toys R Us and I got lots of toys like Lego and cars. Next I went to another toy shop and a jelly bean shop and I had Chinese food for lunch.
Thursday
Today I saw snow in the garden. I felt very cold and wet. I filled up the little wagon with snow and I went to the Levines' house for dinner. Mum and I made lamingtons for dessert.
Friday
I saw lots of snow yay!!!
Saturday
Grandad took me to the railroad museum. It was lots of fun. I saw steam wagons, steam trains and even a model plane. We had our own special tour guide for just the two of us because we were the second people there. I liked it when he showed me an actual train they made from scratch. Then our tour finished and we went to the gift shop so we could buy a toy train.
Sunday - Tuesday
We went to San Francisco for two days. Dad took me to Alcatraz. It was fun because of all the history behind it. I got a cable car back to the hotel and it was a bumpy ride.
Wednesday
Today we cleaned the bird houses and the bird bath. Then we painted the bird hotel. Later we went to the dump and then we bought some bark. They dumped it into our pick up truck then we went to their church and dumped it out.
Thursday
Today I played mini golf with Uncle Chas and had hamburgers for lunch then we went to Chas's place to hang out then we went to Toys r Us.
Friday
Today we went to Empire Mine and we saw a blacksmith shop and I saw metal on fire. After that we got some wood and concrete to fix the bird houses.
Saturday
Today we went to the farmers' market and I had a big cookie. Then we looked around the old house, it was called Northstar. Then we went to the child safety fair. First I got a free snow cone, its flavor was bubblegum. Then I went to talk to a sheriff. After that I talked to California Highway Patrol people. Then I saw a sheriff's boat. Then I saw fire safety presentation in a caravan that had a kitchen and a bedroom with a smoke machine and I had to climb out of a window to get out of the caravan, that was pretty cool. Then I went to a petting zoo and two goats were going to have babies and one rabbit but the hens had already had chicks. I talked to some boys about the chicks. Then I had a free hotdog. The weather was really hot by that time. And I got a fire helmet and a whole lot of badge stickers. Then we went back home and walked to the school fair. I won two toy ninjas, a toy skateboard, and three toy insects and a bouncy yo-yo ball. After we had a rest I helped granddad make concrete then I played in the sprinkler.
Sunday
Today I played with some dogs at Kim's house and we had a BBQ. It was very hot so when we got home I played in the sprinkler again.
Monday
In the morning we made super HUGE bubbles then Uncle Chas came and we went hiking in the woods and we saw lots of frogs! Then I had a four-scoop ice cream cone. Then we had "Spring-giving" turkey dinner.
Tuesday
Today we went to Beale Air Force Base to fly a remote control plane then we went shopping at the base shops then we looked around the base. I saw some live turkeys.
Then it was time to go home to New Zealand.
